The first ever permacultural pilot at a university in the country is now operational at SRBIAU since November, 2016 thanks to the efforts of SRB Plant Pathology students, School of Agriculture Sciences and Food Industries.

The word “Permaculture comes from “perma” meaning “permanent” and "culture' referring to farming and agriculture. Permaculture is a system that uses patterns and simulations found in nature in it’s design, it could also be said that it’s an agricultural system inspired by native culture. In Permaculture or sustainable agriculture lands, all living things are a part of the ecosystem equilibrium and every single life is essential and therefore possibility of their presence in the ecosystem should be provided
